After winning the D&AD Advertising Black Pencil of the Decade for their 2012 ‘Rivers of Light’ campaign for the Colombian Ministry of Defense, MullenLowe Group sat down with the clients behind the campaign to discuss the idea and how they brought it to life. The conference was truly extraordinary and downright inspiring, and marks a piece of world advertising history and inspires us by showing us how, from our profession, we can contribute to improving the world.
For those who couldn’t tune in live, grab a cup of coffee (or two) and see the complete recording conducted by MullenLowe SSP3 Chief Executive Officer, Francisco Samper, who chatted with some of the key people of the huge team who worked on communication campaigns for the demobilization of the FARC guerrilla in Colombia for over 10 years: Global President of MullenLowe Group Creative Council and Chief Creative Officer MullenLowe Group UK, José Miguel Sokoloff, MullenLowe SSP3 Chief Operating Officer, Juan Pablo García, and MullenLowe SSP3 Chief Creative Officer, Carlos Andrés Rodríguez. Joining the discussion from the client side were, Juan Manuel Santos (Nobel Peace Prize and former President of Colombia), Sergio Jaramillo (Former High Commissioner for Peace of the Government of Colombia) and Marcela Durán (former Director of Communications of the Program for the Humanitarian Attention of the Demobilized).
