Visitors to Acura’s Instagram account can create their dream versions of the automaker’s 2019 ILX sports sedan by tapping into a sticker pack that contains elements such as wheels, accessories and A-Spec packaging.
Acura also teamed up with top Instagram influencers and artists on GIF search engine Giphy to create animations that visitors can add to their custom ILX models.
Instagram influencers participating in the initiative include artists Pablo Rochat and Sean Charmtz, while Lucy Turnbull and Dieselraptor are among the Giphy artists on board.
Acura social media manager Jessica Fini said in a release, “With the 2019 ILX capturing the highest number of millennial buyers in its segment, it was critical to have a strong presence on social media platforms for the launch of the new model. Utilizing Instagram Stories and hacking the platform for users to create a custom ILX experience allows Acura to be a part of the conversation in an organic way.”
