The Jenna Lowe #GetMeto21 campaign conceptualised by Lowe Cape Town has won silver at South Africa’s premier digital awards, the IAB Bookmarks.
The digitally-led integrated campaign has been hugely successful in terms of building awareness for Organ Donation through online activity and reach. The campaign allowed people to seamlessly register to become an organ donor whilst engaging with Jenna Lowe on social media and being invited to be a guest at her twenty-first birthday. Lowe Cape Town was one of the few full service agencies to win on the evening.
As Kirk Gainsford, ECD of Lowe Cape Town, comments: “This is great news considering the short space of time it took the campaign to make a difference and the statistics speak for themselves. However, the greatest success of this campaign for me personally is that before we embarked on this project, Jenna Lowe had a two percent chance of receiving a double-lung transplant and within two months of the campaign they had a donor match for her. She received a life-saving transplant and is on the long road to recovery.”
