The MAAW Names MullenLowe Open Brazil as Winner in the Globe Awards Posted on


Marketing Agencies Association Worldwide announced this week the winners of the international phase of Globe Awards. A jury composed of 120 professionals – represented by agencies, customers, vehicles, communications industry – evaluated more than 400 campaigns from 25 countries.

MullenLowe Open Brazil was one of three Brazilian agencies to be awarded, with the case ‘Raise the Roof” winning the silver trophy for Kibon (WALL’s) for Best Product Campaign.

About Raise The Roof project:

Since 2012, Kibon has sponsored the gondola lift at Favela do Alemão. In 2014 it brought an unprecedented exhibition to a forgotten and risky area, where art has never been at the forefront.

With the theme happiness, the 1st Aerial Exhibition at Favela do Alemão was born. The pieces of art were exposed on the roofs of houses on a hill that could only be seen from the gondola lift.

The project was put together by contemporary artists who were helped by residents of the community.

The number of tourists to the area increased more than 50% during the project. More than 240,000 people visited the exhibition in less than one month.

This project is one of the most awarded campaigns from the agency, already winning 12 awards and shortlisted at Cannes Lions 2014.
