MullenLowe Asia Pacific enjoyed a very successful ADFEST 2015, with MullenLowe Vietnam, MullenLowe Indonesia, MullenLowe Philippines & Lowe China scooping 6 Gold, 3 Silver & 3 Bronze awards at the event.
The most successful campaign at the festival was MullenLowe China’s “Human Traffic Signs” for Buick. The most awarded Chinese creative campaign of 2014 won 4 Golds, 2 Silvers and 2 Bronzes in the Outdoor, Print, Press and Film categories.
MullenLowe Indonesia’s print work for Unilever’s ‘Pure It’ took Silver in the Press category.
MullenLowe Vietnam’s work for Unilever’s OMO was awarded 2 Golds in the Press and Outdoor categories.
Carlos Camacho, ECD of MullenLowe Vietnam, was also invited to participate as a judge on the Direct Jury panel.
“AdFest 2015 was a very insightful experience for me. It is actually one of the first Asia Pacific awards I have judged at since moving from Colombia to Vietnam, and it was a privilege to meet creative leaders across the region, and spend time with them to share opinions on the work we judge,” Camacho said.
The SM Eco Bag campaign from MullenLowe Philippines took Bronze in the Outdoor category, and MullenLowe Philippines’ duo of young creatives earned further recognition as winners of the Young Lotus Creative Workshop. The event began with 13 teams and narrowed down to 5 finalists.
Abi Montana and Margarita Salvador’s idea, ‘Futureception’, their response to this year’s “The Dream Brief”, was about selling their skill set and portfolio to their dream ECD by sending a message from the future.
This idea, according to Young Lotus committee co-chair Ted Lim, was fresh and interesting, and something they did not expect from the young creatives. “Instead of banking on fear, they focused on hope.”
#TeamGariMonts also won the Young Popular Vote Award after garnering the most votes from the delegates at ADFEST.
